Power Yoga Candlelight class

Nicole Avendano

Born and raised in Miami, FL. Her love for yoga began when she first moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2011. After landing at Hot 8 Yoga, she immediately fell in love and quickly became a part of the Hot 8 Yoga community. As a young child that grew up physically active, she believes that it wasn't until she found yoga that she truly understood how to feel comfortable in her own body. The combination of both the physical and the spiritual connection she felt was what got her attention. She was able to apply the lessons she learned in the yoga room both on and off her mat! Always in search for improvement and self discovery, Nicole decided to embark on the journey of becoming a yoga teacher. She completed her 200 hour certification and since then has been dedicated to create a safe space for other people to connect with their spiritual power, feel comfortable in their bodies, and just have fun!

Dakota Lupo

Dakota Lupo (E-RYT 200) is a west coast transplant who was born and raised in NYC. He completed his first 200-hr training at Yoga to the People in Manhattan and being teaching there in 2009. Specializing in power vinyasa, bikram yoga, and yin yoga, Dakota moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and teaches extensively all over the city. He leads teacher trainings, workshops for teachers and students alike, trains pros and amateurs, the young and the less young, and continues to develop his style of teaching to explore new territory. A creative by trade, each of Dakotas classes, each practice, each moment on the mat is different from the day before and also different from the person next door. With a continuing challenge to explore breath, each of his classes balance enough guidance and compassion for the beginner, with enough depth, specificity, and intense edge work for the advanced yogi. A Vinyasa-style dynamic flow class which uses breath to movement to integrate the mind/body connection. This intensified practice builds strength through Sun Salutations, standing postures, arm balances, core strengthening and includes backbends, hip openers, as well as inversions. Designed for all levels; temp 104-108
