Heather Taylor

Heather began her yoga journey in 2011. After years of neglecting her body she became intrigued with those "bendy people" and stepped enter her mat. It was love at first pose, she found that not only her body was transformed but that she was finally able to heal her spirit from years of putting others first. In her classes she focuses on creating a space where students can take the time to connect with themselves and there own yoga.

Carli Kline

Native to Sunny Southern California, Carli grew up living an active lifestyle. It wasn’t long before she developed a love for yoga sculpt. Carli started teaching Yoga Sculpt 2 years ago and has been practicing for 5 year. As yoga transformed her life, she wanted to inspire others with its gift. Yoga’s teachings have brought connection between mind and body awareness, peace of mind, and the feeling of being grounded into her life. Always open to growing and connecting, Carli continues to inspire, be inspired by her students and practice.

Bradley Boleman

Bradley has been teaching yoga since 2014. Although before that he originally started doing yoga in 2008 from DVDs. At the time (2008) the stretches that yoga provided were great cross training stretches for dance. Although Bradley didn’t really get into the meditative/spiritual side of the practice, till 2014 when he did his first yoga class in Los Angeles. He fell in love immediately. He loved the intention part of class and moving your body with your breath was beyond freeing not just for his body, but mind and soul. As Bradley deepened his practice he realized that the true magic that yoga has to offer really heightens when you take your intention off your mat and apply it into your life. Taking a big step forward Bradley decided to do a teacher training in less than three months of his first class in LA. And since then the journey has been nothing more than liberating. His favorite quote “Movement is medicine no matter how fast or slow you move.”

Leigh Wakeford

Leigh Wakeford was born and raised in the beautiful “Mother City” of Cape Town, South Africa. Big dreams, and great aspirations led him to the lights of Broadway, where he has called Manhattan his home for the past 4 years. He thanks the hustle and bustle of New York City for sending him on a journey to find the peace, harmony and balance, that is essential to juggle a career based in uncertainty and a life surrounded by chaos. Yoga was the answer. “On my mat, I could shut out the noisy surroundings of the busy Metropolis, and silence the voices of doubt in my mind. Even if just for an hour a day, I found my solitude, my church.” His inevitable obsession with the Yoga lifestyle lead him to his mentors Stephanie Culen and Mindy Frenkl, under whose guidance Leigh completed his 200 hour RYT certification in December 2010.

Fast-forward to April 2012, Leigh finds himself in the City of Angels, having made a career transition from the stage to the silver screen. Committed to finding his “church” in his new home, enter Hot 8 Yoga, Nancy Norby and a new fitness concept known as “Yoga Barre”. Having been trained in all forms of dance for the past 10 years, this combination of ballet barre technique, yoga and heat opened Leigh’s mind and body to the endless benefits of merging his passion for dance, his primal need for yoga, and fascination with healthy living. An obsession was born. Leigh received his Yoga Barre certification through Hot 8 Yoga in May 2012.

Brianna Huff

Brianna fell in love with the idea that yoga could connect your mind, body and spirit and since her first class, she never looked back. Not only was this practice physically rewarding, it was exactly what she needed to find her inner balance. When she found herself wanting to spread this magical feeling, she began her ever-growing journey in 2015 when she completed her 200hr yoga training. Be prepared to share smiles, as she hopes to inspire her students everyday to live your most beautiful life on and off the mat.

Christina Garcia

Christina was born and raised in Montgomery, New York. She grew up on a small farm and led a very active lifestyle. Christina started running track and joined the swim team in middle school. Running became meditation for her and she was completely addicted all throughout college. When her knees and ankles became too injured to continue running, Christina turned to yoga for exercise. In no time, yoga became much more than just a work out. After less than a year of practicing, Christina took her first 200 hour yoga teacher training at NP Rock Yoga in New Paltz, NY. This life changing experience led her across the country to deepen her yoga practice in Los Angeles. She started practicing at Hot 8 Yoga daily and completed her yoga sculpt teacher training in March of 2017. Christina’s goal is to spread yoga, mindfulness, and fitness to her students and she teaches a fun, energetic class.

Jane Johnsen

Formerly a competitive dancer with a background in theater, Jane Johnsen was first introduced to yoga through the dance community and was hooked after her first savasana *Nap time, yes please!*

After a decade of practicing yoga in the heat as a means to escape the frigid winters in Chicago, she finally bought a one-way ticket to the west coast to follow her acting dreams. Once in LA, Jane quickly discovered the strong, inviting community at Hot8. Three years later, she decided to take her practice to the next level and began to share her love of yoga with the community as a teacher.

Jane creates an experience of discovery in each of her classes, with her signature comedienne humor and curated soundtracks making each challenge FUN. Whether you leave with a new favorite song, a new workout plan, or a new mindset, one thing is for sure; you’ll walk out of the studio feeling amazing from the inside, out!

Robyn Briody

I am a Los Angeles native who has been practicing yoga regularly for years. After a serious injury due to a car accident, it was suggested of me to try hot yoga. I quickly realized that these classes not only had physical benefits, but the mental and spiritual benefits as well. Hot yoga heals me physically and emotionally.

Hot yoga is so much more than just fitness to me, It's a way of life. It allows me to connect to my mind, body, and spirt as well as get a killer work out. My practice continues to guide me to the person I am meant to be. Hot 8 yoga is my home away from home. The community and support continues to inspire me.

Kaliko Hurley

Hawaiʻi native Kaliko Hurley loves yoga. Kaliko first arrived on her mat in college and practiced to get out of her head. A tighter bodied person with a history of long-distance running, Kaliko is especially challenged by her asana practice. Her mantra: be patient, playful and persevere.

Kaliko received her yoga teaching certification under senior teacher Joan Hyman at Yogaworks in 2010. She also completed her sculpt certification in 2017 at Hot 8 Yoga under Cornelius Jones Jr. and Briana DeFalco.

Lauren Trenkle

Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m a health enthusiast + yoga sculpt instructor who believes in real food, balance + the power of sweat. Finding inner + outer strength through my personal yoga practice inspired me to complete a 200hr YTT in Hawaii followed by the Yoga Sculpt TT at Hot8. My classes are focused on self-empowerment through the cultivation of strength, focus + breath set to a damn good playlist.

Cornelius Jones Jr.

Cornelius Jones Jr., E-RYT200, a natural born mover began his career sprinting alongside running backs on patchy football fields while pirouetting and harmonizing in Glee-like Show Choirs at concert halls, amid coming of age in Richmond, VA and Washington, DC. He attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA where he received a BFA in Musical Theater. Broadway bound, at the age of 22, was cast in his first Broadway show Thou Shalt Not, directed & choreographed by Tony award winner Susan Stroman. He then went on to perform as dancer & singer in the Broadway, 1st & 2nd National tour, Mexico, and Las Vegas companies of Disney’s The Lion King. It was at The University of the Arts where Cornelius first met Hatha Yoga, as a course requirement. At the beginning of his Lion King journey he discovered Bikram Yoga for physical recovery. His love for Hot Vinyasa Flow birthed after completing a rigorous Masters Degree and releasing an abusive intimate relationship, as way of mentally & physically detoxifying. He received his Vinyasa Power training through CorePower Yoga and his Yoga Sculpt and Yoga Barre training through Hot8 Yoga. An official E-RYT200, he's also First Aid/CPR certified through the American Heart Association. With Cornelius, a professionally trained dance and fitness entrepreneur, prepare yourself to not only sculpt, tone, and stretch the body, but also build on your natural physical vocabulary to free your body through prana & dance. With a voluminous music palate and weekly servings of food for thought, Cornelius teaches with love for all & out the box energy. Stephanie Lam

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stephanie has always had an active lifestyle from tennis to hiking to crossfit. She found yoga a year ago and fell in love with it's healing aspect for the mind, body and soul. She started practicing yoga daily and felt her body grow stronger and her mind grow calmer. With a busy work schedule as a CPA, Stephanie finally decided to take the plunge to become a teacher, starting with Yoga Sculpt, this past summer and is really excited to help her students love yoga as much as she does.

Stephanie has two puppies, Megatron and Rocket, with whom she does everything with. She enjoys taking them on hikes and snuggling up with them in bed. She also loves to travel and her favorite cities are Paris, New York and Hong Kong. Stephanie loves getting to know her students so be sure to come chat with her after class!

Raea Brauer

Rae Brauer is a yoga instructor and health/wellness coach based out of Los Angeles, CA. She teaches several styles of yoga and curates a variety of wellness workshops, but is mostly known for the meditative qualities of her Yin Yoga and Vinyasa classes, as well as her passion for fitness and plant-based foods. As a health coach, Rae hopes to shed light on the interconnectedness of the layers of mind, body, and spirit; while also working to transcend their limitations. Her offerings include: yoga instruction, guided meditation & sound therapy, personal fitness training, and plant-based cooking demos.
This breath to movement class that combines free weights with yoga and cardio to increase stamina and strength. Sculpt is a total body workout designed to sculpt and define every major muscle group. This class is high energy with upbeat music. 🔥 🔥 🔥
