Cornelius Jones Jr., E-RYT200, a natural born mover began his career sprinting alongside running backs on patchy football fields while pirouetting and harmonizing in Glee-like Show Choirs at concert halls, amid coming of age in Richmond, VA and Washington, DC. He attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA where he received a BFA in Musical Theater. Broadway bound, at the age of 22, was cast in his first Broadway show Thou Shalt Not, directed & choreographed by Tony award winner Susan Stroman. He then went on to perform as dancer & singer in the Broadway, 1st & 2nd National tour, Mexico, and Las Vegas companies of Disney’s The Lion King. It was at The University of the Arts where Cornelius first met Hatha Yoga, as a course requirement. At the beginning of his Lion King journey he discovered Bikram Yoga for physical recovery. His love for Hot Vinyasa Flow birthed after completing a rigorous Masters Degree and releasing an abusive intimate relationship, as way of mentally & physically detoxifying. He received his Vinyasa Power training through CorePower Yoga and his Yoga Sculpt and Yoga Barre training through Hot8 Yoga. An official E-RYT200, he's also First Aid/CPR certified through the American Heart Association. Lauren learned that while it was a fantastic balance in theory, the body was not welcoming sitting at a computer all day, followed up by dancing. Lauren's dance teachers strongly encouraged her to try yoga. After taking a few classes around town, Lauren found Hot 8 Yoga and it was a match! The incredible improvements to Lauren's well being, plus the element the music brought to Lauren's practice, allowed her to slowly deepen her understanding of the benefits of yoga.
Lauren was encouraged by her Power Yoga teacher, Casey Layne Anderson, to embark on the Hot 8 Yoga 200 hour teacher training. After completion of the 200 hour training, it made perfect sense for Lauren to become certified in Yoga Sculpt, as that's where Lauren's energy and musicality could be best utilized.
Because of yoga, Lauren's dancing has improved tremendously. Lauren noticed a dramatic increase of focus in her career and everyday life. Most importantly, yoga provided her with a deeper understanding of the importance of self care and living each day to its fullest!
Lauren currently teaches Yoga Sculpt at the Beverly Hills location on Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 8am. Her primary intention as a teacher is to challenge students to push beyond their comfort zone. Lauren choreographs her classes in a manner that allows students to connect to the music during their practice, which offers them the opportunity to strengthen their coordination skills during the high intensity class. You will leave Lauren's class feeling accomplished and stronger, both mentally and physically!
The strong connection between the body and the mind is what inspired her to teach barre. Anne is not your traditional barre instructor, she uses a combination of cardio and dynamic strength training to get your heart pumping and sculpt your body to the core! Her fitness experience includes CrossFit, kickboxing, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), personal training, Olympic weight-lifting, Pilates, yoga and barre. No matter where you are in your fitness journey Anne is dedicated to helping you become a better, stronger version of yourself!
When she is not instructing her classes she can be found spending time outdoors in nature, especially hiking in the San Gabriel mountains which have always had a special place in her heart, watching The Bachelor (with a glass of wine of course) or playing with her dachshunds, Raven and Robin!
Omar is formerly a feature choreographer and dancer for several multi platinum selling entertainment icons such as Janet Jackson, Madonna, Mary J Blige, P. Diddy Ricky Martin, Pink and Usher ...just to name a few.
At present Mr. Lopez holds certifications with The national Academy of Sports Medicine ( NASM ), YOGA ALLIANCE, 200 hr cert. EARTHS POWER YOGA and is a dedicated practitioner of GRACIE JIU JITSU.
Omar's classes will challenge the warrior spirit while allowing the practitioner to do so in a safe space of spiritual liberation and self expression.
Her second passion besides yoga is being a proud dog parent. Currently, she lives by Mick Jagger's quote: "anything worth doing is worth over doing": because life is too short to not fully enjoy every moment.
Milena is an experienced yoga instructor who has had opportunities in teaching various styles of yoga and fitness including Hot Yoga, Power, Sculpt, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and Restorative Yoga. She teaches in the Los Angeles area and has a wide range of students of all levels and backgrounds. "My goal as a teacher is to inspire my students to understand the mind-body-soul connection and to bring more joy into life."
