Heather O'Neill Teacher

Heather Rebecca O'Neill began dancing at the age of four and can truly not remember a day without dance being in her life. Heather attended Orange County School of the Arts for high school as a dancer. She began teaching and choreographing at Kindorf Dancers in Cypress at the age of sixteen. This is when she truly began realizing her passion for teaching, crediting her own teachers who inspired her love for dance. Heather then decided to further her training in dance and choreography by attending California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, graduating in 2016 with her B.F.A. in dance. While practicing yoga for 7 years, it wasn't until college that Heather discovered her focus in Yoga Barre with the help of Nancy Norby and the amazing people at Hot 8 Yoga. Yoga Barre became an amazing complement for her dancing, helped with injuries from her dance career, and improved her everyday life. Just like in dance, Heather's passion grew from the amazing teachers at Hot 8 Yoga. Today she is excited to share that enthusiasm and her love of yoga barre with her students!

Karen Pascual

I was first introduced to yoga in college, but didn’t get involved and more consistent in my practice until 2012. I was going through a transition period in my life and found yoga to be my salvation, I was going every day consistently when the studio I was attending was having their first yoga training, in which I completed my 200hr RYT through Yoga Alliance. From there I gained a ybarre and basic mat pilates certification and have been teaching these styles along with Vinyasa base yoga since. What you can expect in my class is emphasis on alignment, lots of high energy, and embracing that fire within! I fell in love with yoga because of how versatile it can be, and especially the incorporation of a mental, physical, and spiritual practice. Whether young, old, injured, unfamiliar or advanced- yoga addresses a variety of aspects one may be seeking for. Yoga takes you as you are, whole heartedly, and teaches the yogi to do the same. I want my students to have fun in my class, whatever level they may be, to explore their potential and progress past their limits. When incorporating barre/scuplt movements, there is an added high pace ambiance for those looking to condition themselves further by building strength and endurance. Let’s breathe, smile, and sweat!

While teaching Yoga Barre for Hot 8 Yoga, she was inspired to continue her yoga journey and education by receiving both her Yoga Vibe and RYT 200 certifications.

Jessica Cipperly

When Jessica moved to California in 2012, she was searching for something to be a part of. All it took was one barre class at Hot 8 Yoga and she was hooked. It was everything she wanted in a workout and the warmth and kindness of the people in the studio just drew her in more. When the chance to take Nancy's Barre teacher training presented itself, she knew she had to do it. Since then she has also completed the YogaSculpt and YogaVibe trainings as well. Not only has this studio changed her body for the better, it has also changed her soul. She hopes to instill these same positive changes in those she teaches. As an architect by trade, Jessica has a passion for form, function, and beauty. She brings this passion to her classes helping to shape the building blocks of the body with flow, movement, and most of all... fun!
When not in the the studio or designing buildings Jessica can be found backpacking through the mountains or exploring the world, absorbing as much beauty, nature, different cultures and new experiences that she can.

Briana Price

A Southern California native, Briana grew up swimming competitively and dancing. She was introduced to yoga as a young athlete, and always felt called to explore yoga more deeply. New York city was the next stop for her, where she attended college and dove into the world of professional dance. Her dance career allowed her many beautiful experiences and a richer appreciation for the power of movement. After an injury, she craved a more mindful form of movement, which led her back into the arms of yoga. She has been a dedicated yogi ever since completing her teacher training. Briana is excited to share and learn and grow with everyone at Hot 8!

Candice Kim

Born and raised in LA, I re-discovered yoga after graduating from college in San Diego and returning home to begin working full-time. After years of being on-and-off with my fitness routine, I decided it was time to finally commit to a practice that would inspire and motivate me to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. Remembering that yoga had always offered me a space to not only improve my physical well-being, but also to re-center & truly clear my mind - it was only natural that I gravitated towards it as my practice of choice.

I initially came to Hot 8 to take advantage of the free week of classes to motivate myself to get back into yoga, while giving myself the added challenge of practicing in the heat; what I found was something much more special. Hot 8 immediately drew me in with the beautiful & authentic energy that each instructor brought to his or her class, and the sense of community that I found myself walking into every time I stepped onto my mat. Having been a space of growth and transformation for me during a pivotal time in my life, Hot 8 has continued to be my home away from home.

The more I committed to my practice, the more invested and dedicated I became to the idea of moving with intention and integrity. I found myself wanting to deepen my practice further and learn how to guide others to work more mindfully on & off of their mats. Feeling a connection with Yoga Barre in particular, I completed my Yoga Barre certification in 2017 under the incredible guidance and mentorship of Nancy Norby and Briana DeFalco. I am so honored and excited to join the Hot 8 family and hold space with the community in a practice that I love so much. My goal is to provide a space that benefits everyone's intentions: whether that intention is to have a great workout, mental detox, or anything in between; and to encourage the practice of setting an intention for yourself to carry off the mat as well. Look forward to seeing you at the Barre!

Yasmine Tanwidjaja-Pajares

From my early childhood I loved an active lifestyle, especially taking dance classes and being part of the British Gymnastics Association. My intrigue for yoga developed during my college years, when I was diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome and osteoporosis. I knew yoga would benefit my overall health greatly and so I made it a point to explore diverse styles practiced around the world. I started with Kundalini in my hometown of London, which helped me tune into different parts of my body through powerful breath techniques. During my gap year I travelled to Bali, Australia and India where I experienced a variety of approaches and methods. While pursuing a career as a TV host and multimedia specialist, it was in 2015, that I landed in Los Angeles and was introduced to Hot 8 Yoga. I fell in love with it immediately, as the unique styles taught at the studio offer a wide combination of cardio, meditation, movement and balancing postures. The effects have been to make me feel physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally more revived and connected, which fits in well with the demands of my profession. I am delighted to have found a space that allows me to freely create and express myself, as in my years as a gymnast and ballet dancer. Yoga Vibe by Omar Lopez, attracted me to delve into deeper due to its rhythmic and instinctual essence that instills a true warrior spirit for the common good. I am forever grateful to have tapped into the power of yoga, especially in such a special environment like Hot 8 Yoga, and thankful for the opportunity of teaching here. I am committed to sharing the lessons I have learnt, and I look forward to exploring further forms within my students and myself, under the guise of exceptional mentors and fellow teachers at the studio.
Yoga Vibe is a class that links breath to movement and beat as we seamlessly practice the postures to soulful sounds. Candles and high volume music set the ambience of the room. The journey concludes with long stretches, deep hip openers and a guided meditation.
