26 & 2 Community Class $8

This class is taught by:

Keon Saghari

Keon Saghari has a passion for movement and connecting with people in her community. Her initial interest in becoming a yoga instructor stemmed from her career in contemporary dance. Hot yoga quickly became Keon's favorite form of cross training while she was touring and performing with various dance companies in San Francisco. The benefits were so powerful that she couldn't resist her desire to help others achieve the same results. In 2013, Keon received her Bikram Yoga certification through Bikram Choudhury. She committed herself to teaching this practice with love and care; combining all of her previous knowledge of the body and movement to teach a class that is fun, informative, meditative, and healing. In 2017, Keon added Inferno Hot Pilates (high intensity low impact interval training using Pilates principals) to her roster of teaching. Having just moved to Los Angeles in 2018, Keon hopes to continue her education in various yoga practices, meet more people in her new yoga community, and is very excited to be apart of the Hot 8 family!

Hunter Haliniak

From Honolulu, Hawaii, Hunter grew up playing competitive athletics. He received a partial scholarship to play division 1 volleyball at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and continued to play competitively afterwards. What Hunter loved about competitive athletics was that it gave him the ability to escape the 'mind stuff' he tended to put himself through on the day to day. Hunter describes this feeling as "athletic samadhi" where nothing existed outside of being in that moment, in that time, in between the lines of the court. Eventually losing interest in the competitive side of athletics, Hunter yearned to find a practice that was both meditative and athletic that would allow him to reach that mind space once more. He found that mind space after taking a 26-2 hot yoga class taught by Fracesca Asuma at Hot 8 Yoga in Beverly Hills. Not only was he physically and mentally challenged by the practice, he was jolted spiritually as well. From that point on, Hunter's yoga journey began. With 200 hours of teacher training certification through Hot 8 Yoga in both 26-2 (Francesca Asuma) and Hot Power Fusion (Deanna Ainsworth), Hunter is passionate about sharing Yoga with anyone who wants to practice with him. Come on in to Hot 8 Yoga, bring your mat, sweat a lot, and let Hunter help you find your moment of 'samadhi!'

Jesse Carrasco

took my first Hot Yoga class 6 years ago and if you would have seen what I looked like after, we would have laughed together at the thought of me being a teacher.

I found that Yoga is a journey that never ends. It’s not just for dancers or gymnasts. It’s not just for those who are looking to get more flexible or lose weight. It’s not just for those who are seeking peace of mind in stressful situations. I love that Hot 8 Yoga fosters community in a judgement free environment, where people from all walks of life can come together, stare in the mirror, as they look for a glimpse of their true self.

Through these asanas and daily commitment, we hope to cultivate “attitudes of friendliness towards the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous and disregard toward the wicked, so the mind-stuff retains its undisturbed calmness.” (Yoga Sutras 1.33)

I truly believe that what we do on the mat, whether in 26&2, Barre, Yin or any other class we offer, will help you realize your full potential. It never ceases to amaze me! Namaste.

This 90 minute set sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. Class is composed of a standing series followed by a floor series where each posture is done twice. Through discipline and structure, 26 & 2 allows students to gain strength, flexibility and balance. Conducted without music, 26 & 2 assists in developing the concentration needed for meditation and proper alignment. 🔥 🔥
