Amber Costilow

From a young age I used physicality as a means to escape my emotional discomfort. My first Yoga practice was in 2003 to a Vinyasa DVD, and the feeling of coming home to myself was so profound that I immediately sought out literature for deeper understanding. Since then, the philosophy has evolved me daily. I have been a full-time yoga instructor since 2012, earning my first 200 hours in Power, Vinyasa, Yin, and Hot 26; later expanding into Yoga Medicine, Buti Yoga, and Rocket Yoga. I have taught group classes, privates, workshops, events, and teacher trainings to a wide range of demographics and abilities. My experiences as an athlete, body worker, and scientist make my approach challenging, therapeutic, and educational. My flow classes are dynamic and playful, while my hatha and yin classes meditative and disciplined. I consider myself a chameleon of styles, believing that no matter the moving meditation, Yoga is largely an internal practice of befriending Fear, and acting from Love.

Elle Ryder

Elle developed a deep passion for yoga through her love for dance! When she was just three years old, she began training in the art of dance & by age fifteen had already began instructing & choreography dance for an array of students. In 2013, Elle packed her car & drove from Michigan to California to pursue her dreams. Just a few years ago her best friend brought her to her first heated yoga class, where she instantly fell in love! This opened her eyes to a new way of mindfully moving & finding peace within herself through breathe, meditation & a devoted practice. Her practice quickly became one of the biggest & most gratifying parts of her life. She knew she wanted to learn how she could help share this love & passion she has found, as someone else so kindly guided her to as well! Since then she has completed her 200hr Power certification & is now teaching Yoga & Yoga Barre to the greater Los Angeles area! Elle strives to create a genuine, safe & welcoming space for all attending students, while also combining her knowledge from instructing dance & yoga to create a challenging but exceptionally fun work out for the body & mind. Elle’s class will leave you feeling invigorated, refreshed, & inspired for anything the rest of the day has to bring you! Always eager to make more connections within the yoga community, Elle looks forward to seeing you in class very soon!

Christina Garcia

Christina was born and raised in Montgomery, New York. She grew up on a small farm and led a very active lifestyle. Christina started running track and joined the swim team in middle school. Running became meditation for her and she was completely addicted all throughout college. When her knees and ankles became too injured to continue running, Christina turned to yoga for exercise. In no time, yoga became much more than just a work out. After less than a year of practicing, Christina took her first 200 hour yoga teacher training at NP Rock Yoga in New Paltz, NY. This life changing experience led her across the country to deepen her yoga practice in Los Angeles. She started practicing at Hot 8 Yoga daily and completed her yoga sculpt teacher training in March of 2017. Christina’s goal is to spread yoga, mindfulness, and fitness to her students and she teaches a fun, energetic class.

Maks Akter

"The path of yoga is the path of self-discovery"- Amrit Desai. No matter where we come from or what we do, yoga is there to firmly ground us and help with this journey to our inner true self. I've been raised in LA for almost all my life and can understand how our sense of self can get a little foggy. Yoga has been helping me slowly peel through my layers and gain a stronger sense of self. I want to share and hope to inspire along the way as I go through this journey.
