An avid fitness enthusiast and former lifestyle consultant for one of the biggest health and wellness companies in NY, Maria has had her pulse on the health and fitness industry for over a decade and has dedicated her work to building communities through her passion for a healthy lifestyle and creating connection.
While Maria had been exposed to yoga for many years, it wasn’t until she discovered Baptiste Power Yoga that she developed a true practice. While it was the physicality that initially drew her in, she quickly realized how powerful the practice was off the mat. She immersed herself into a 40 days program, attended every workshop offered and committed to daily meditation and inquiry work. It was after attending a 10 day immersion training with the Baron Baptiste in Sedona that Maria realized that she wanted to share her love for yoga with others and soon after completed her 200 yoga teacher training at Hot 8 Yoga June 2016.
Maria’s intention is to teach yoga as a leadership skill by helping to empower people to have the confidence to pursue their true passion. She is excited to be a part of the Hot 8 team and continue her growth as a yogi and a teacher with such an inspiring group of people.
