Tim Smith became enamored with Yoga after taking a Candlelit Power Vinyasa Flow class at Yoga to the People - St. Mark’s NYC his first semester of university. By senior year fall semester, he completed his 200 hour teacher training at Yoga to the People under the tutelage of Julia Planine-Troiani and Sam Chase (among others). He then began teaching Power Vinyasa Flow classes at their St. Marks and Williamsburg studios. Upon receiving his BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch, he relocated to Los Angeles and continued teaching yoga at LA Fitness, health centers and on-site at corporations. He’s elated to be back teaching once again in an actual yoga studio.
His classes emphasize: 1) Syncing mind, body and breath to work as one 2) Encouraging yogis to find their own inner teacher so that they create their own unique practice 3) Inviting each practice and side of body to be its own experience 4) Self-Compassion
