CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

26 & 2 

This 90 minute set sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. Class is composed of a standing series followed by a floor series where each posture is done twice. Through discipline and structure, 26 & 2 allows students to gain strength, flexibility and balance. Conducted without music, 26 & 2 assists in developing the concentration needed for meditation and proper alignment.

 

26 & 2 (1 Hour)

This class is a 60 minute set sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. There are 2 sets of the standing series and 1 set of the floor series. Class is composed of a standing series followed by a floor series where each posture is done twice. Through discipline and structure, this class allows students to gain strength, flexibility and balance. Conducted without music, 26 & 2 assists in developing the concentration needed for meditation and proper alignment.

Hot Power Fusion

This set series is an hour-long, shoulder and wrist-friendly class without chaturangas (high to low push-ups) that combines the 26 & 2 and Power Yoga styles. Hot Power Fusion includes balancing, core work, hip openers and inversions accompanied by music, encouraging mindful focus and detoxification.

Power Yoga

This intermediate vinyasa-style class guides students through more advanced postures and creative sequencing. Power links breath to movement and may include arm-balances, inversions and twists to stretch and strengthen the body. Accompanied by music.

Power 1

This foundational class connects breath to movement (vinyasa) and focuses on proper alignment to set students up for success in all styles offered at Hot 8 Yoga. The temperature is set at a lower level to help acclimate students to the heat. Power 1 is an excellent full body strengthening class for both new and experienced students to learn any necessary modifications to improve their practice.

Yoga Vibe 

Rhythmic-based power class in which sequences are executed to various tempos and intensities. Each class is accompanied with its own carefully crafted playlist and theme. At its peak, the sequence is linked to the beat of the music challenging balance, core strength, endurance and stamina. Candles, dim lights and soulful sounds set the vibe for the class. In this challenging tempo-based class, expect less alignment cues and some fast paced movement to music to help remain grounded in your experience. Class created by Omar Lopez.

Yoga Barre

This class is a dynamic fusion of barre work, light weights, non-impact cardio and yoga designed for developing long and lean muscles. By activating small muscles groups this class provides cross training and aids in injury prevention and recovery. Yoga Barre is a high energy class and is excellent for anyone looking to tone legs, booty, core, and arms to upbeat music.

Yoga Sculpt

This breath to movement class that combines free weights with yoga and cardio to increase stamina and strength. Sculpt is a total body workout designed to sculpt and define every major muscle group. This class is high energy with upbeat music.

Hot Yin Yoga

This slow-moving class targets connective tissue through seated and lying postures held for long periods of time with the use of blocks and straps. Yin compliments the more active classes offered at Hot 8 Yoga by increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. This practice is perfect for all levels and those recovering from injury.

Invigor8 Meditation

New to meditation? This is the perfect place to start. Become more relaxed, efficient, and compassionate in just 15 minutes. This silent practice is conducted in a group setting for a more powerful experience of deepening your collective awareness.

Breathing Meditation

Non-heated. This meditation utilizes breathing to open up the body’s energy channels.

Hot 8 Extreme

Hot 8 Extreme is a fusion of resistance training, high intensity aerobics, vinyasa movements and stretching. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. The time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise. The yoga helps to calm the mind and body as well as create flexibility with strength. This class is heated. No shoes, grip or toe socks recommended but not required.

Foundations

Whether you want to deepen your knowledge, or expand your community, foundations is for you!! This 4 week series sets the foundation for a successful yoga practice. Designed for those who are new to yoga or have practiced for some time and are looking for a deeper understanding. You will learn the foundations of alignment, modifications, breath, yogic philosophy and touch upon meditation. The intention is to demystify 'What is Yoga'. We will explore the Power 1 postures and introduce yoga philosophy.  This program is accessible to all in a fun supportive environment. Come learn about the 8 Limbs of Yoga and take your practice to the next level!

DOJO 'The Place of the Way' Advanced Level Class

'The Place of the Way' This class successfully integrates Asana, various Martial Arts Systems and Animal Form Movements into creative flow sequences, out of the box transitions and inversion play.

Blocks, weighted bars and light weights are also uniquely incorporated into conditioning drills and strength training.

This candle lit experience is accentuated with carefully curated soft-house, soulful grooves and chill-hop meant to inspire an informed and yet artistic atmosphere. All levels with martial arts movement. Class created by Omar Lopez.

Yin Sound Bath

Enjoy the benefits of deep relaxation as the therapeutic sounds of live gongs surround you in order to reduce stress and anxiety.
