Studio Etiquette

Hydrate prior to class. Proper hydration will aid in releasing toxins and boost the overall function of every system of the body.

Practice on an empty stomach. Avoid eating 2-3 hours prior to class to maximize blood flow to the muscles, organs and glands vs. the digestive system during the postures.

Sign in at the front desk prior to class and inform the teacher if you are pregnant, injured, or have any special needs so that we can give you the modifications needed for a safe class. We cannot guarantee your spot if you do not check in 5 minutes prior to class start time. Thank you for your understanding.

Be on time: Arrive 15 minutes before class begins to prepare yourself for practice with clean feet and scent free. Be mindful of practicing in a heated room, many students have fragrance sensitivities. Please avoid any perfumes or colognes.

Remove shoes and chewing gum before entering the yoga room. Turn off all cell phones in the studio. Yoga rooms are cell phone free. Please be sure your feet are clean prior to entering the classrooms.

Honor silence in the Yoga Rooms. Honoring silence before, during and after practice allows you to set your intention, practice mindfulness and integrate the depth of your practice. Thank you for honoring this sacred space.

Stay in the room at all times.  The heat assists detoxification through the sweat. It is common to occasionally feel light headed, nauseous and dizzy no matter what your level of experience is with heated classes. Breathe, rest when you need to, hydrate or lay down-

Keep your eyes open so that the teacher knows you are ok. We have 50% fresh air purified with UV lights moving in the room at all times to keep your energy levels high and aid in detoxification.

Respect the teacher, fellow students and tradition. Practice mindfulness that you are participating in a group class. The teacher may give modifications to lessen the postures or to advance. Each class has a purpose and intention. Be respectful to stay with the teacher and the postures given while knowing your own limits. We offer many different levels and styles of classes to meet your needs.

Honor your edge. This is your practice, your sacred space on the mat, give your personal best every class, be open to the transformation yoga provides. Practice, Practice, Practice!

Please enjoy 1 cold eucalyptus towel after class

Please return any rental items in the designated bins: mats, towels, yogitoes.
